Now for the reason you came to the blog, the Star Wars autographs. Star Wars autographs are not easy to obtain and will require a large amount of money to collect all the cast members. The first autograph is the most important and one rarest autograph out of the Star Wars group and that is George Lucas. There are two autographs in the non sportscard category but none are Star Wars cards. They are from two sets in Indiana Jones Masterpieces and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Both of these cards are numbered to 7 and the price range for both of these cards are between $2,500-$7000 each. George Lucas 8 X 10 photos authenticated by PSA/DNA are going around $200-$300. There is also a card that George Lucas signed with Harrison Ford, and Steven Spielberg that is numbered 1/1. This has been or still is on ebay and the asking price was $18,000.
The next Star Wars character is R2/D2 played by Kenny Baker. Kenny Baker in the past has been a great signer through the mail but in the 2008-2010 there has been rumors that he doesn’t sign through the mail anymore because he has health issues. If anybody has had success let me know I would like to hear about it. Kenny Baker has a lot of signed stuff out on the market. Kenny Baker signed photos or cards as R2/D2 that have been authenticated by PSA/DNA have been going between $50-$100 dollars. Topps has four cards out from these sets: 2007 Topps 30th anniversary ($30-$50), Topps Star Wars attack of the clones ($40-$60), Topps 3-D Empire Strikes Back ($100-$200), and Topps Evolution which is limited between 1,000-1,500 cards. This Kenny Baker/R2/D2 card goes between $50-$100.
The next Star Wars character is C3PO and he is played by Anthony Daniels. Anthony Daniels autographs are not easy to find but if you look hard enough. You find some them on ebay and at shows. The 8 X 10 photos as Anthony Daniels as C3PO go between $100-$200. There is one Topps card in the set the 2007 Topps set called Star Wars 30th anniversary. In 2010-2013 these cards have been sold for at least $1,000 dollars. Billy Dee Williams autographs is autograph that requires some looking but will be able to come across one. There is only one card with his autograph on it and it is from the Topps Evolution series. These cards have been going between $300-$500 dollars. Billy Dee Williams Star Wars 8 X 10 photos that are PSA/DNA certified are going between $75-$150.
The next Star Wars character is Chewbacca and he was played by Peter Mayhew. There are a lot of stuff that Peter Mayhew has signed. There are three cards by Topps out. They are Galactic files($30-$50), Empire Strikes Back in 3D($150-$300), and Revenge of the Sith($25-$50). You can also find 8 X 10 PSA/DNA certified autographs between $50-$75.
