Green Arrow

Green Arrow a DC comic book character created in 1941. He was created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp and his first appearance was in More Fun Comics #73. This comic book came out in November in 1941. Green Arrow who has superior skills shooting bow and arrow while dressed in green similar to Robin Hood. His alter Ego is billionaire Oliver Queen who owns Queen industries. Green Arrow’s bow and arrow is also constructed with high tech technology like having tear gas and kryptonite inside the arrows. Green Arrow runs around the city protecting citizens of Star City. Green Arrow’s agenda has changed over the years. In the 1960s, he was a street crusader protecting the working class after Oliver Queen lost his fortune. In the 1970s he became more law and order oriented hero which is how Green Arrow is portrayed in the television hit series called Arrow now in its third season. His super hero friends are Speedy, Red Arrow, Green Lantern, Black Canary and Batman.

Arrow

The Television show Arrow is loosely based off of the Green Arrow DC comic book hero. Arrow premiered on October 10, 2012 on the CW. The series is about a billionaire playboy named Oliver Queen who becomes the Green Arrow after being stranded on an island for five years. Green Arrow vows to fight crime and corruption in Starling City. This series was primarily shot in Vancouver and British Columbia in Canada. When the series uses skyline shots of the city a combination of cities were used. The footage is of Frankfort, Germany, Center City, Philadelphia, Bak Bay, Boston, and Tokyo, Japan.

Facts on Arrow

Queen Mansion-filmed at Hatley Castle a national historic site in Colwood, British Columbia. The exterior shots of the castle was also used as Lex Luthors Mansion in Smallville, and as Professor Xaviers castle in X-Men and X-Men United.

Island Flashbacks-Vancouver

Big Belly Burger is referenced in Arrow which is a restaurant franchise used in Superman Comics

The card company, Cryptozoic is releasing an arrow season 1 trading card set by the end of 2014 or in Q1 of 2015. Cryptozoic is including arrow autographs for the first time for arrow collectors. There are a lot of collectors looking forward to this set

especially with every actor/actress who plays a major character has signed cards with this season 1 set of Arrow. There are not many authentic autographs available right now for Arrow fans but this will change when the set comes out.
